Do you have those moments where you are positive you are going to wake up at any moment from a dream? That is pretty much what happened to the Australian Migraine Community on Federal Budget night 2021. We found out that Emgality (Galcanezumab) will be listed under the PBS! For non Pension Card/Health Care Card holders it will be $41.30 a month, for those on it is $6.60 - this is amazing! We have been fighting and fighting the Government/PBAC for years on this! That people living with migraine deserve the same access to medications made for their condition as others do; because it certainly didn't feel that way. In fact when Aimovig was rejected for the last time we were more or less told that too many people had Migraine and would benefit from the medication to put it on the PBS. Yes, you read that right.

But now we sit here, excited and...waiting, waiting for Ajovy, waiting and hoping that the Government will change its decision on Aimovig so that it can be reviewed again with a positive recommendation. Waiting for the other CGRP antagonists, the gepants and the ditans. Waiting...
